GODZILLA Animation Movie Announced

GODZILLA Animation Movie Announced

Since its birth in 1954, “Godzilla” has been loved all around the world as a giant cultural icon. Last year we had “SHIN GODZILLA” which directed by Hideaki Anno; in 2017, TOHO announced “GODZILLA”, an animated movie.

The story sets in the future of 2048, when human being has been experienced countless defeat against Godzilla, they have to escape from earth and emigrate to a new planet. Check out the story:

The appearance of the giant living creatures “Kaiju’s” and the ultimate existence that destroys all monsters: Godzilla. Through the battle against kaiju’s that lasted for half a century, human beings experienced continuous defeat, and finally plans to escape from the Earth. And in 2048, only those who were selected by the A.I. managed under the central government board the inter-sidereal emigrant spaceship “Aratrum” to head to “Tau e”, a planet in the Cetus constellation that lies beyond the distance of 11.9 light years. However, the environmental condition difference between that of the Earth and Tau e, where they finally arrive after 20 years is far beyond the predicted numbers, and is not an environment considered to be habitable by human beings.

The young man on the emigrant ship: Haruo, who saw his parents killed by Godzilla in front of his eyes when he was 4 years old, had only one thing in his mind for 20 years: to return to the Earth and defeat Godzilla. Shut out from the possibility of emigration, as the living environment in the ship deteriorates, people who demand to return to the Earth, led by Haruo, become the majority and determine to head back to Earth through a dangerous long-distance hyperspace navigation.

However, the Earth they return to has already passed the time of 20,000 years, and has become an unknown world with the ecosystem reigned by Godzilla.

At the end, will human beings win back the Earth? And what will Haruo see beyond his fate…?

This is a different take on the Godzilla universe from the past, looking forward to see how it goes. And do check out the official website as well.

Batman Team Up With Harley in ‘Batman and Harley Quinn’ Animated Movie

Batman Team Up With Harley in ‘Batman and Harley Quinn’ Animated Movie

I’m very excited every time there is a new DC Super Heroes animated movie coming out, but this time is even cooler, Batman is teaming up with Harley Quinn in the coming new animated movie – Batman and Harley Quinn.

First off Harley Quinn is my favorite female villain in DC comic universe, second Harley Quinn will be voiced by Melissa Rauch, also known for playing Dr. Bernadette Rostenkowski-Wolowitz on the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory (my favorite sitcom). As usual Kevin Conroy as Batman, and the return of Loren Lester as Nightwing, who previously voiced Robin in the Batman animated series in 1992.

Batman and Harley Quinn will be available to purchase on Digital HD, Blu-ray and DVD this summer.

Ghost In The Shell – Live Action Movie Casts

Check out the Ghost In The Shell live action movie Section 9 members casts. Directed by Rupert Sanders and starring Scarlett Johansson, Pilou Asbaek, Michael Pitt, Takeshi Kitano, Juliette Binoche, Kaori Momoi, and Chin Han. Scar-Jo’s character name Major Motoko Kusanagi will change to “The Major” due to the accusations against the film for whitewashing its main character.

What do you think about the casts compare to the original anime version? My thoughts on the appearances:

  • Scar-Jo as “The Major” is kinda 50-50 for me, it is better still getting an Asian for the role.
  • Where the hell is Batou’s cybernetic eyes?!
  • I think Ishikawa is O…K? no, it is not OK.
  • Togusa is too old.
  • Saito is fine.
  • Boma … sigh~.
  • Aramaki is fine.

So these are my brief thoughts on the appearance check. Ghost in the Shell is released in cinemas on March 31, 2017.
